The app crashes after clicking display button

Description

When i click "Display" the overlay is shown bug crashes - cannot click anything.
Only Cmd+Option+Esc -> Force Quit saves the day.

This appears to be the same issue as #1525 and #1530, which was caused by a regression in the prewarmed overlay windows introduced in v0.4.4 - the overlay windows were intercepting mouse events even when hidden, making the UI unresponsive.

The fix was merged in PR #1523, which adds set_ignore_cursor_events(true) when creating prewarmed windows so clicks pass through, then restores set_ignore_cursor_events(false) when the window is actually shown.

Relevant code: The fix is in apps/desktop/src-tauri/src/target_select_overlay.rs in both prewarm_target_select_overlays() and open_target_select_overlays().

Workaround: As mentioned by a maintainer in #1525, pressing ESC when the app becomes unresponsive may help close the overlay. Alternatively, downgrading to v0.4.3 from https://cap.so/download/versions was suggested as a temporary fix (though it sounds like you're already on 0.4.3, so this may be a different variant of the same root cause).

Note: You mentioned you're on v0.4.3, but the issue you describe (clicking Display and the overlay blocking clicks) is consistent with the overlay cursor event handling problem. The fix should be available in v0.4.5 or later. You might want to check if a newer version has been released since the fix was merged on Jan 15, 2026.
