Contributing to sql-mock

Hello sql-mock maintainers,

I am currently developing a Python package that provides core functionalities for storing data in a MariaDB database.

For testing my package's database layer, I need to mock SQL queries . After researching various tools, sql-mock would fits my use-case perfectly, as other solutions I found introduce a lot of unwanted complexity.

Currently there is no explicit implementation or support mentioned for the MariaDB or MySQL dialects, so I would like to contribute by extending sql-mock to add support for MariaDB/MySQL.

Before I begin the work, I wanted to ask:

Are you open to accepting this contribution?
If so I would fork this repo and start extending.

Hey @Arian-Ott , yeah sure - contributions are very welcome! We haven't added a bunch of new functionality recently but if you want to give it a shot for MariaDB/MySQL, feel free to give it a shot.
There should be some hints in the contribution docs.

To get started, it is probably easiest to check out the structure of something like BigQuery and copy this folder to get started. Then you can adjust tit to your DB use case.

This part of the README should also be helpful.
