Tasks:

  1. Prepare Extension:
    Review the manifest file (manifest.json) for any missing fields or errors.
    Ensure the extension follows Chrome Web Store best practices.
    ZIP the entire extension directory (code, assets, manifest file) into a .zip file for upload.

  2. Create Chrome Web Store Developer Account:
    Register for a Chrome Web Store Developer Account.
    Pay the one-time $5 developer registration fee.

  3. Submit the Extension:
    Upload the .zip file of the extension to the Chrome Web Store Developer Dashboard.
    Fill out the required details:
    Extension title
    Description
    Permissions explanation
    Screenshots (1280x800 px)
    Icons (128x128 px)
    Categories and regions
    Provide a privacy policy (if applicable).

  4. Review and Submit:
    Ensure all required fields are completed in the submission form.
    Submit the extension for review.

  5. Monitor Review Status:
    Wait for the Chrome Web Store to review the submission.
    Address any feedback if required.
    Publish:

If approved, verify the extension is live in the store.
Announce the availability of the extension.
