class name for ignoring slides

Would it be possible to have a section class name or other attribute which would cause presentable to ignore that slide completely, title or not?

In my case, I simply wanted to add a title, Contents, to the TOC slide but this resulted in the addition of an entry in the TOC itself.

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for using Presentable. The way it is currently written, the table of contents slide must be included in the table of contents. Without it the 't' keyboard short cut won't work. I'm sure it would be possible to work around that, but to be honest, I'm not sure I want to add the extra complexity. Maybe if enough people express interest in this ticket.

In the meantime, it shouldn't be too difficult to hack up your version to achieve the desired effect. Modify dist/presentable.js in the following ways

Now you can skip a section by adding a 'toc-exclude' class

Hi @frederickf. Thanks for the quick reply!

I ended up doing something similar to what you suggested. In my case I also wanted to adjust the chapter numbers to ignore those excluded sections as well. It was a fairly intrusive change all things considered as the TOC indexing no longer matches the true indexing of the presentation.

At any rate, I have a version that will ignore sections with a class name no-toc and update the indexing of surrounding sections. All of the TOC links work fine, but as you mentioned the TOC keyCode feature now takes me to the title slide (in my case) rather than the TOC.

I'm happy with what I have for now, but as you said if there is enough interest I'd be happy to make this more robust!
