presentation-toc outside slides

Is it possible to put the table of contents outside of the "slides" div? I'm trying to put the table of contents in a separate div from the slides, so it can be accessed from anywhere in my slides. If it's not possible, this would be a useful feature!

If this is something you want, but don't have time for, let me know so I can try to implement it.

Hi Parkin,

At the moment the code is written to expect nav#presentable-toc to be in a slide, but I'm willing to investigate changing that.

Incidentally, I've considered making it an option to open the toc in a popin (is that what you have in mind?) but decided against it for the time being because the JS and CSS to make a nice popin would have increased the complexity and size significantly. Especially when you consider that Presentable supports at least 5 different frameworks (and possibly more). Also, for the most part all the presentations are loaded into the DOM already so it's not like there are any page loads to contend with. Switching to a toc containing slide is pretty fast and elegant already. Oh, and, to support having the toc in a popin would require alternate behavior for the icon and key code navigation.

Anyway, I'll look into making the presence of the toc in the presentation optional so at least users can have the option to implement a different UI for their preferred framework.

Sorry, did that on accident.

A popin would be nice, or the ability to embed the presentation in a page and have the toc somewhere else on the page. I've mainly been using Reveal, so I'm not familiar with the other presentation frameworks and how the implementation would be different. If it's outside the scope of this project, that's ok, just a suggestion!
