repository_content not working anymore

Describe the bug

After authenticating using either VS Code or VS 2026, get_file_contents doesn't work. I tried many public GitHub user, repositories and files, and none of them worked.

Both, VS Code and VS 2026 report Resource not found.

Affected version

I'm using SSE server: https://api.githubcopilot.com/mcp/

Steps to reproduce the behavior

In VS Code:

1. In Copilot: `Add Context
2. MCP Resources
3. repository_content
4. User: Duqiong624
5. Repo: ConsoleApp4
6. Path: README.md (the file is even suggested in auto-completion!)

Same reproduction gives the same result in VS 2026.

Expected vs actual behavior

I must be able to attach the resource.

Follow-up:

• repository_content_branch also returns Resource not found when using master branch for the repository mentioned above.
