Hi! It looks like v1.2.0 of the VS Code extension, which fixes bugs such as #9, was never published to the marketplace.

That’s correct. Preparing an official release and publishing it to the marketplace demand substantial work to comply with Intel’s security and release policies, which we’re not resourced to handle at the moment.
If you're OK using non-official VSIX, I can recommend you to use the artifact built in CI: https://github.com/ispc/vscode-ispc/actions/runs/19047493027/artifacts/4453767290
