Another idea - option to use voice announcements instead of beeping sounds for rest, exercise and preparation (also finish).

Like:

• start/go
• rest
• go
• finish!

Could be built-in shot phrases or/and created by user phrases with help of TTS (text-to-speech) like Piper.
