Description
Two flags are incorrectly named in the flag selection.
https://openfront.io/flags/west_germany.svg
It is named as the West German flag, but it is the federal service flag (even today). Furthermore, there has never been a Germany with the official name West Germany or East Germany.
So please rename it to ‘Federal Service Flag (Germany)’. Germany's official full name is ‘Federal Republic of Germany’.
https://openfront.io/flags/east_germany.svg
This is named as the East German flag, but there has never been a form of Germany with the name East Germany. This is the flag of the former GDR (German ‘Democratic’ Republic), which existed from 1949 to 1990.
So, to be historically correct, please rename it ‘GDR’. East Germany was only the colloquial name.

Please add that this is the flag of the German Empire (1871–1918). Important: This is the flag of the German Empire, NOT the Third Reich. The Empire and the Third Reich are two completely different eras in German history and should not be confused.
In addition, the flags of Austria-Hungary and Romanov Russia are also included in Open-Front, so the flag of the German Empire should also be included. The flags of Prussia and the Empire are different flags, and Prussia has not been an independent state since 1871, but became part of the German Empire.
Important:
The terms ‘East Germany’ and ‘West Germany’ are highly controversial in Germany, and there is no consensus on which areas they refer to.
For many people (especially displaced persons and their descendants; 15 million people), East Germany includes areas east of the Oder-Neiße line, which were officially ceded after WW2. This cession is not recognised by all groups within German society.
The distinction between West Germany and East Germany (also known as Central Germany) is mostly used to differentiate between the two parts of Germany in a negative way and is perceived as derogatory or even offensive in some parts of Germany.
Therefore, the terms West Germany, Central Germany and East Germany are very divisive and should be avoided.
