Changelog:

• Specifying a license by a table (dict) in pyproject.toml is now deprecated and going to be unsupported by setuptools by 18 Feb, 2026. The license has to be an SPDX-approved field, such as the LBL-specific BSD variant, BSD-3-Clause-LBNL
  • Going to update all packages post deployment with this and reference this PR for background
• Add mpmcp CLI tool to spin up an MCP server (has some flags that can be passed to it for server config)
